Studio Brief 01 - A Creative Strategy Page - KNF

KNF Events 

KNF Events Is a company me and my friend whome i met through a project  have come up with, the company which is based on Knowledge, Nutrition & Fitness, this is an idea we both came up with whilst having a coffee. What i find is that big ideas people have in there head they will never discuss them or carry them out due to the lack of confidents people have and how people are negative. It is for this reason it makes us both determined to follow through with this project. 

However creating a a project at this level is not easy. 

What is the project?

Event Overview


KNF (knowledge, nutrition, fitness) will be holding this event for the purpose of educating the public in regard to how a healthy lifestyle can easily obtained. The goal is to have local company’s attend to show the public what they have around them in regard to things such as local gyms, sports supplement company’s, healthy food suppliers and healthy food venders providing an alternative to the larger fast food chains. With the use of this knowledge we aim to inform the public that the correct nutrition and exercise can deal with things such as Cancer, heart disease, diabetes and obesity and how by us changing our lifestyles and fighting this we can manage and even cure them allowing the NHS to improve and finally manage their workload taking all the pressure that cancer, obesity, heart disease and diabetes can cause.


This will all be achieved by holding activities on the day such as group exercise demonstrations, showing different ways of exercise that will fit in with their lives regardless of their age.

Outdoor live cooking demonstrations how to create healthy food options for them to eat showing the simplicity of it and the health benefits of cooking your own food.

Seminars held by Dr Rick Miller one of the leading dietitions in the UK talking to the public about the latest nutritional advice and how quick fixes don’t work.

I am attempting to arrange Jamie Oliver to attend the festival as he is a big promoter for healthy eating and its benefits.

Tickets will be sold for this event and money raised donated to the dystonia society to help with medical research. I will ask James sutliffe to attend the festival someone who suffers from dystonia but is large on social media as a person will to speak about his journey.

Local gyms will demonstrate what they have to offer be it mixed martial arts, boxing, running, cycling, crossfit all will be given the opportunity to raise awareness of what they can provide.

Other people I will be trying to arrange to attend will be the Leeds Rhinos, bodyline council gyms, and the local PM all to help increase interest in the event and get involved.

Funding & Budgeting


To fund the event tickets will be put on sale for the event which will generate £50,000. Charity boxes will be given to all company’s attending the event along with other fund raising events.

Possible sponsors will be contacted such as the local council due to the event helping to promote local parks and businesses promoting the city of Leeds. The NHS will be contacted for sponsorship as the event is aimed at helping to cure most of top main issue’s the NHS are having to deal with relieving the pressure of theses allowing them to deal with other serious diseases and reduce their spending. Plus, other sources of sponsorship will be sought after who have no

Regarding spend, all vendors attending the event will cost nothing and a donation will be requested from each of them. All companies required for infrastructure will be informed that it is a charity event to try and reduce the cost’s.

Application 

To start of this process we sent off an application to rent Round hay park Soldiers field for the 2nd of September, this take roughly 3 weeks to be approved. Whilst waiting for the application to be approved we began to gather quotes from,security, healthy and safety, speakers, food, music, stages, fences, printing, licenses that we needed for the day. Trying to do all these things in a short amount of time is fairly difficult to carry out. 





During the process we've had to email a number of companys to get quotes and consent to carry out this event, what i have learnt from this is that it takes a lot to get permission and costs a lot to host an event considering the scale we are aiming for which is 5000 people.  Currently there are only two of us working on this project so we put and event plan together to balance the things that need to be done.

This event is a constant learning curve we will be working on this all over summer till the day the event is, my role in this is a Marketing and advertising director, I will be responsable for all advertising and print, this is a major part of the event as its the part that actually gets people there. Looking forward to this process as this opportunity could turn into something big even though it as ambitious. We will be looking for volunteers to join us to help with designing and on the day activities. 

The challange's in which we face; One of the main challenges is getting fast responses from people who we need replies from urgently.
